Johto E4

Hey Pokemon Revolution Online Fans, before we are going to start this guide please take in mind that mistakes can sadly happen. If you find some don't bother telling them. This guides are made by only one person (me). I am working hard to help people with online games. Sometimes creating this guides can take a long time, so please be patient. I try to publish the content as fast as possible. Thanks for reading all this stuff and now lets go on with the guide.

Step 1: Start

Now, that you are the Kanto Champ, you are able to continue with the Johto Story. But before you surf to Johto I REALLY recommend you to shop. You Need to buy the TM - 24 Thunderbolt in the Vermillion City Gym. Further on make sure to take all items from your Pokémons, like the Leftovers and so on, because if you are going to enter the Johto map, all your Pokes are send to the PC and are locked until you beat the 8th Gym. With that you won't have access to the items. If you have done all that, you can start your jorney to Johto.

Step 2: Unlock the first Gym

In order to unlock the first Gym, I recommend you to catch an Mareep on Route 22 and train it to Level 12-13. Now that you got your Pokemon on this level go in the Sproud Tower. Left of the entrance is an abandoned Gastly. Pick it up, because this is the Pokemon we are going to use to finish the Johto story. After that, battle your way to the top. If you defeated all Trainers in the tower you unlocked succesuflly the first Gym. But don't train ur Gastly. We will first use it on the second Gym and we need it untrained on Level 5. Now just go to the first Gym and oneshot all the birds there. It is really easy. After that, go to Azalea Town

First Gym
Slowpoke Well
Step 3: Slowpoke Well in Azalea Town

In Johto, it seems that you need to unlock every Gym with a quest. Because of this, a big suprise, we have the next quest for the second Gym. In Azalea Town you can find a well. Go in it and defeat all trainers in it. After you done that the second Gym is unlocked. For more details check out the video below.

Second Gym
Step 4: defeat Bugsy the second Gymleader

The second Gym is the Bug - Type Gym. With my warter starting Pokemon and the others I caught, I dont't got moves that are effective, but you can beat the Gym easy with my setup. Just get rid of the trainers before the Gymleader. It shouldn't be to hard. For the fight vs. Bugsy take Gastly on your first spot. His Pinsir only take moves, which can't hurt Gastly. It will take some time to K.O. Pinsir but Gastly will grow from level 5 to level 24. And now you can beat the rest of his Pokemons. For more details watch the video below.

Step 5: Ilex Forrest quest

To get to Goldenrod City you need to do another quest. First thing you need is a Pokemon which can learn the HM - 01 Cut. If Iam not completly wrong, the warter and grass starter can learn it or catch a Bellsproud. The tree you need to "cut" is blocked by an old man. Find his Far'fetched and he moves away. now that you are in the Ilex Forrest i recommend you to catch a Caterpie and train it to level 13 that you get an Butterfree. You will need that Pokemon to finish the Goldenrod City Underground quest.

Goldenrod City quest part 1
Step 6: Goldenrod City Underground quest party 1

This is a really long quest. I recommend you to watch the video below. It the fastes way, to get to know, what to do. But here is a list what you will need to finish this quest.

  1. a Butterfree on level 13 with Sleeppowder move

  2. a bottle of "Freshwater" (buy it in the Goldenrod City departmend store on the roof)

  3. The order for the Levers: A,C,D,C,E

Step 7: defeat Whitney the 3rd Gymleader

After the first part of the Goldenrod City Underground quest, you have to defeat Whitney in order to get your 3rd badge. In this Gym Normal - Type Pokemon are used. With the Gastly it is easy to beat all the trainers and Whitney. If you don't have a gastly a Fight - Type Pokemon is strong against Normal-Type Pokemons.

Third Gym
Step 8: Goldenrod City quest part 2

After the fight vs. Whitney, go to Route 35 until you see two police officers. The ask you to deliver a letter. Go back to Goldenrod City and talk to the officer south from the department store. On your way back to Route 35 take a stop in a house in the north of the city to get the Squirtbottle. Then you can go back to the two officers and the way to Route 36 is open. On Route 36 you need the Squirtbottle to get rid of the Sudowoodo. Now just go north to Ecruteak City. The video below helps, if you can't find something.

Goldenrod City quest part 2
Step 9: Burned Tower and the 4th Gym

To unlock the 4th Gym you need to go north to the Burned Tower, take the ladder townand talk to the NPC there. Now you can face the 4th Gymleader. This Gym is a Ghost - Type Gym so your Gastly will do a really great job.

Fourth Gym
Step 10: The Lighthouse Quest and 5th Gym

Okay now that you got the 4th Badge, go over Route 38 and 39 to Olivine City. Before you can fight the Gymleader there you need to do another quest. Go in the Lighthouse, lockated east in the city and fight your way to the top. Then talk to Jasmine. She asks you to get a medizine for her Ampharos. So now just surf over Route 40 and 41 to Cianwood City. In Cianwood City in the the south, there is a house with an old lady called Secret Potion Maker. Talk to her and you get the medizine.

In Cianwood City you can battle for the 5th Badge. This is a Fight-Type Gym. But with the Gastly it should be easy. If u don't use the Gastly, flying Pokemons will help to beat the Gym.

After the 5th Gym surf back to Olivine City and talk to Jasmine again in the Lighthouse. The 6th Gym is now open to battle.

Lighthose quest and fifth Gym
Sixth Gym
Step 11: Batlle vs. Jasmine the 6th Gym Leader

To be honest, I cant' say much about the next step, because you only need to defeat Jasmine. There are no trainers in the Gym, because of the pre quest. Just use you Gastly and some Revives and Potions. She is using Steel-Type Pokemons, so if you dont have an Gastly Fire-Type Pokemons are really strong here.

Mahogany Rocket Hideout
Step 12: Mahogany Town Rocket Hideout Quest Part1

Now that you got six badges, you need to go back to Ecruteak City, then to Route 42 past Mt. Mortar to Mahogany Town. This Gym is locked to. So go over Route 43 to the Lake Of Rage. Talk to Chappy and go back to the Mahogany Pokemarkt. Now you are able to walk downstairs. In the lower floor you will meet Lance and he gives you a new quest. If you are stucked watch the video below.

Step 13: Mahogany Town Rocket Hideout Quest Part 2

I splitted the video into two parts, because this is a realy long quest. If you can't find any help in the first video take a look at the second one.

Seventh Gym
Step 14: Battle vs. Pryce the 7th Gym Leader

Your next step will be to defeat Pryce the 7th Gym Leader in Mahogany Town.  In this gym you will face just Ice-Type Pokemons. YOur Gastly will have an easy life there, but if you dont have one, Fire-Type Pokes are very strong against Ice-Type Pokemons. In the next video you can watch the Battle vs. Pryce, because the trainers here are very wea

Ice Path
Step 15: The Ice Path

To get to Blackthorn City, you need to pass the Ice Path. This time you don't need to do a quest. Just go throgh the Ice Path. But be carefull. This is a maze, so if you can't solve it, watch the video below.

Eighth Gym
Step 16: Battle vs. Claire the 8th Gym Leader

The last gym  in Johto will be vs. Dragon-Type trainers. You can use ice Pokemons or just your Gastly. But before you try to battle Claire evolve your Gastly into a Haunter. Use Shadow Ball or Thunderbolt vs. her first 3 Pokemons. Her 4th Poke Dragonite will just use Earthquake, so it won't damga your Haunter. You can use any attak against him to kill it. The last Pokemon is Charizard. Onehit it with a Shadow Ball. If you are stuck vs. her, watch the video below.
